The best Cosplays from Gen Con 2018 rival that of Comic-Con and other elite events.

When people think of cosplay, Comic-Con usually comes to mind. While Gen Con is not Comic-Con, it has its fair share of cosplayers.
Not everyone at Gen Con dresses up, but it’s safe to say that you’d see someone dressed as their favorite character about every 30-40 feet. In fact, some of them were incredible.

Here are the best cosplayers from Gen Con 2018, which I was able to get snaps of, at the event.
In reality, I missed a ton of great costumes. The one I am most disappointed that I missed was King Arthur, and his servant galloping through the convention center, coconuts and all.
Here’s what they looked like:
So before we get too far into this article, I have to admit something…I am not Batman. He and I were finally seen in the same room together at Gen Con.
I’m just as disappointed as you are. I have failed this city.
Anyway, here’s Batman.

Star Wars is a huge favorite among nerds. Yes, I include myself in the nerd group. The Star Wars cosplayers were out in full force.

Most were very well done, too.

The hardest decision I had to make was whether to join the Light Side or the Dark Side.

So, I dabbled in both sides of the Force.

I don’t know who this guy is above, but he looks pretty impressive. Most impressive.

The Martians from Sesame Street made an appearance; who are my favorite characters in the show. If you don’t remember who they are, check this out for a refresher.
Hysterical!

We also crossed paths with Samus from Metroid. The costume above is top-notch, isn’t it?

Dad-bod Kratos was also there. That’s right. Kratos from God of War is a dad now — and he’s letting himself go.
All jokes aside, this was one of my favorite cosplays. I might be biased because God of War is one of my favorite games, but I digress.
We then listened to some tunes from this Star Trek band, who were (for some reason) playing a Star Wars song, but no one really seemed to care too much.
We couldn’t comprehend the lyrics to any songs, but I’m pretty sure they sang in Klingon.

My personal favorite was the combination of Rick and Morty. Not only is this one of my favorite shows on TV, but this particular Rick and Morty combo was also in character.
Overall, the cosplay at Gen Con was amazing! I’ve never been one to dress up much especially considering that I haven’t dressed up for Halloween in years.
However, I was very impressed with the amount and quality of cosplay at Gen Con. It made walking from destination to destination much more entertaining.
Well done, Gen Con Cosplayers!
