A (relatively) unknown World Series of Poker pro takes over as the all-time poker money leader, in a surprising “all-in” hand for the ages.
Step aside Johnny Chan, Phil Helmuth, Daniel Negraneu, and Eric Siedel, a new “GOAT” has ascended to the mountaintop of the poker world, after a monumental World Series of Poker victory.
Justin Bonomo is such man, who leapfrogged both Negraneu and Siedel as the top money earner ever, winning $10 million in one event — the World Series of Poker’s Big One for One Drop.
His career-earnings have now surpassed $42 million total, thanks to a (poker) hand for the ages.
How did @JustinBonomo shoot to the top of the Big One for @OneDrop_All_In leaderboard? This monster hand against Matthew Siegal!

The ultimate dagger was on an unconventional hand, gathering a massive pot on his way to a monumental victory — making Bonomo a poker legend in the process.
Bonomo’s reaction is priceless, however; and the moment was not lost on the youngster, whose hard-work finally paid off — quite literally.

Bonomo is relatively new to the (professional) poker “game,” acquiring over $23,0000 in the past 6 months alone — with a combination of lady luck and mad skills. He’s won a total of three championship bracelets now — 2014, 2018 (X2), finishing in the money now 61 times on three different poker circuits.
The “GOAT” got his start in 2005 via the European Poker Tour and continued his winning momentum via the online variety.
Over the past decade-plus, Bonomo has grinded-out a total of 61 cash finishes, hitting the big time with his 2014 victory in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Six Handed World Series of Poker event.
After two victories in 2018, the 32-year old is showing no signs of slowing down.
So, if you think your pipe dream is unattainable, whether it be the World Series of Poker or some other wild dream, don’t give up.
After years of bad beats and hard-fought finishes, Justin Bonomo’s life transformed from poker amateur to the greatest of all-time in less than one calendar year.
The lesson for the day is to keep grinding, and lady luck will eventually find you. Don’t give up on your dream!
